Founded in 2011
The Nova Startup Club is one of the biggest, student-run European Startup Clubs to foster an entrepreneurial spirit within Nova SBE’s community and the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, which remains the core mission of the Club.
Our core activities include the provision of Startup Consultancy Services and the organization of internal as well as external Events focusing on all relevant entrepreneurial stages ranging from ideation, launch, scale to exit. The Club seeks to keep the Nova SBE Community and our selected Partners from the international Startup scene up to date with happenings in the Entrepreneurial Ecosystem, by leveraging our social media channels, including Instagram and LinkedIn, and the publication of a monthly Entrepreneurship newsletter in collaboration with the Haddad Entrepreneurship Institute.
Departments
Events
The Events Department has a couple of great events planned for next semester that you don’t want to miss! The main events will be a big Startup Summit that will feature workshops, speakers, a career fair and more, while our Meet the Founder events will bring you close to founders who will share their own experience.
Startup Consulting
In the Startup Consulting Department we conduct pro bono projects with startups and support them in tackling one specific challenge. Currently, we plan for having 4 projects and teams for next semester. The startups are mainly based in Lisbon, so that you have the opportunity to work as close as you can with them, even conducting onsite work if needed. Projects are aimed to start at the End of February and will end in the first week of May with a final presentation of recommendations on how to tackle the challenge.
Content
The content department is responsible for research, develop and write content related to the startup ecosystem, both national and international. This department will create and develop inspirational and relevant content, such as weekly articles, videos with actors from the industry, the newsletter “Meet the News” in partnership with Nova SBE Hadad Entreprenurship Institute and case studies on the most important topics!
Marketing
The Marketing department is responsible for the creation of entrepreneurial and innovative content and for the communication of the club’s events.
Human Resources
The HR department is responsible for our most important asset, our club members. Our main goal is to create a community and for that your tasks will include planning the field trip, internal workshops, creating NSC merchandising, as well as organizing dinners and team building activities during the semester.
